ARC Membership

The ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens) is composed of individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as family members, friends, educators, volunteers, and professionals in the field. The ARC of Illinois has over 3,000 members participate in more than 50 local chapters. Founded in 1950 by a small group of parents and friends of people with developmetnal disabilites, the ARC of the Unites States has 140,000 members in more than 1,200 local and state chapters across the country.

A small membership fee grants you membership in ARC or the United States, ARC Illinois, and PARC. Members automatically receive The Arc Today, published quarterly by the Illinois ARC, as well as invitations to particpate in seminars and conventions at a discount.

Individual Memberships are $20 and Family Memberships are $25. You can become a member online.
