Rehabilitation Services

PARC Participates...
in the community, in choices, in self-sufficiency

PARC’s Rehabilitation Services serve over 200 individuals between the ages of eighteen and ninety. Our day program consists of three separate areas: Adult Developmental Services (ADS), which serves approximately 75 individuals; Vocational Services, which serves over 85 individuals, and the Older Adults program, which serves over 40 people.

All of our Rehabilitations Services help individuals explore work opportunities, provide educational and leisure based opportunities, as well as encourage personal growth through clubs and outside activities. We identify preferred activities and needed supports for each individual and continue to focus on ensuring that each person experiences a productive and enjoyable day. Emphasis in all three programs is given to maintaining previously acquired skills in addition to learning new skills, and though each person is assigned to one of the three programs, efforts are made to provide a seamless flow throughout the program areas.

The PARC Assistive Technology Services (PATS) room is part of the Rehabilitation Services program and was developed over ten years ago in response to the wishes of people with severe physical disabilities who wanted to work. PATS provides instruction and training in data entry and other computer applications with opportunities for paid work through PARC. People in the PATS room perform data entry, graphics, and word processing tasks.
