This is a public website. PARC (Peoria Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc.) maintains this website in order to provide you with information about our programs and services, and to enable you to interact with us on-line. YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE CONSTITUTES YOUR AGREEMENT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE POLICY.
In addition to providing information about our programs and services, the website provides you with opportunities to help PARC in its mission to provide choices for a quality life to individuals with developmental disabilities. This call to action includes the option to provide direct support to PARC and an opportunity to browse our job postings.
We encourage you to read the entire policy as it sets forth our understanding with you when you visit our website. Throughout this policy you will see the terms “PARC,” “we,” “our,” and “us.” These terms refer to Peoria Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit human service agency based in Peoria, Illinois serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
We do not ask you to submit personal information if you are just browsing our website. However, there may be some parts of the site you cannot access. Your privacy is our priority. We are committed to protecting your privacy at all times.
At certain sections on our website you may be asked to submit personal information. This includes, but may not be limited to, your name, postal address, zip code, telephone number, organization name and e-mail address. In addition, in order to make an on-line contribution to PARC, or to complete a purchase, we may ask you to provide credit card or other billing information. All on-line transactions are done on a secure server. We utilize Auctionpay to process secure online payments.
Auctionpay is in compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards. Auctionpay is a Level 3 Merchant as well as a Level 3 Service Provider. Auctionpay has implemented the requirements of the PCI Data Standards and has passed the security scan performed by a PCI approved 3rd party vendor.
You do not have to disclose any personal information if you do not want to. You can choose not to use those website services or features that require such information. Our goal is to offer you convenient online services.
The information we collect about you when you donate or correspond with us is used solely for our internal purposes. We will never sell or rent this information for purposes other than PARC Development.
PARC has an OPT-OUT Policy. You can control how PARC uses your personal information (opt-out). E-mail is an inexpensive and effective means to communicate with our constituents and we like to use it to contact you. If you have previously given consent to use your e-mail or postal address and would prefer to opt-out, please email-us or call (309) 689-3608.
Please note: use of multiple e-mail addresses, postal addresses and/or name spellings will impact our ability to administer your opt-out request. Please be sure we have accurate information on you.
Exceptions to Opting Out: PARC reserves the right to share your personal information in certain situations:
1. Credit Card Transactions and purchases. PARC uses third parties to provide order fulfillment services. If you have opted to donate or purchase on-line, we may share your personal information with these service providers. We make every effort to require all third party service-providers hold personal information in strict confidence. We believe these third parties are responsible; however, we do not own or control these third parties, and PARC shall not be liable for the use of your personal information by such third parties.
2. Necessity. If the law or a regulatory authority compels us, we will disclose personal information.
3. You “click” to other websites. This website has links to other sites. When you link to another site, you are no longer on the PARC site and are subject to the privacy policy of the new site. These sites may independently collect or request information about you and we encourage you to read the privacy statements of these linked sites as their privacy policy may differ from ours.
PARC use of “cookies.” A “cookie” is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from PARC’s web server and is stored on your computer’s hard drive. PARC uses cookies. We also use pixels and employee graphic files such as GIF and JPG to help manage online partnerships. The information we collect by the use of cookies and pixel technology is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does NOT contain your name, postal address, telephone number, or e-mail address.
